Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Alyze ("we", "our", or "us") operates an AI-powered investor room builder that helps founders create and share professional presentations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Service.

By using Alyze, you consent to the practices described in this policy. We encourage you to read this document carefully and contact us if you have any questions.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive and store your name and email address. We also create a unique profile slug that forms part of your public sharing URL.

Company Context

You may provide structured information about your company, including your company name, problem statement, solution, market size, business model, traction metrics, team details, financials, fundraising goals, vision, testimonials, product details, partnerships, roadmap, press coverage, and investor information.

Content Data

We store the presentations and investor rooms you create, including all section content, branding settings (colors, fonts, logos), and room metadata such as titles and publication status.

Uploaded Documents

You may upload PDF documents and design references. We store these files and extract text content from PDFs to help generate your presentations.

Chat History

We store your conversations with our AI assistant, including all messages you send and the responses generated. This history is used to provide context for ongoing conversations and improve your experience.

Visitor Analytics Data

When someone views a published room, we collect engagement data including:

  • Time spent on the page and on individual sections
  • Scroll depth and completion status
  • CTA button clicks
  • Device type (mobile, tablet, or desktop)
  • Referral source and user agent

Visitors are identified using a hashed fingerprint generated from browser characteristics (user agent, screen size, and timezone). This hash cannot be reversed to identify an individual. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information from visitors.

Usage Data

We track your AI token consumption and feature usage to manage subscription limits and improve the Service. This includes the number of AI requests, tokens used per feature, and associated processing costs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Generate AI-powered presentation content based on your company context
  • Provide visitor analytics to room owners so they can understand how their presentations perform
  • Track usage and enforce subscription limits
  • Communicate with you about the Service, including updates and changes
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse

4. AI Data Processing

Alyze uses artificial intelligence to generate content for your presentations. To do this, we send certain data to third-party AI providers:

  • Content generation: Your company context, branding preferences, and conversation prompts are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate and refine presentation sections
  • Web research: Search queries derived from your company context may be sent to Tavily's search API for market research and competitive analysis
  • Website analysis: URLs you provide may be sent to ScreenshotOne to capture visual screenshots of websites for branding and reference purposes

We only send the minimum data necessary for each operation. We do not use your data to train AI models. Each third-party provider's handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate Alyze:

  • Anthropic (Claude API) — AI content generation and conversational assistance
  • Tavily — Web search and market research
  • ScreenshotOne — Website screenshot capture
  • Google — OAuth authentication
  • Supabase — Database hosting, user authentication infrastructure, and file storage

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database with Row-Level Security (RLS) enabled, ensuring that users can only access their own data. Files are stored in Supabase Storage with appropriate access controls — uploaded documents are stored in private buckets, while logos used in published rooms are stored in public buckets.

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). While we implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed, including your profile, rooms, documents, branding settings, analytics data, chat history, and usage logs.

Visitor analytics data for your published rooms is retained for as long as your account exists and is deleted along with your account data.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Export: Request a portable copy of your data
  • Objection: Object to certain types of data processing

9. Cookies & Tracking

Alyze uses essential cookies to manage your authentication session. These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled.

We do not use third-party advertising or marketing cookies. For visitor analytics on published rooms, we use browser fingerprinting (a hashed combination of user agent, screen size, and timezone) rather than cookies to track engagement.

10. Children's Privacy

Alyze is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in locations outside your country of residence, including the United States and the European Union, depending on where our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Anthropic, and others) maintain their servers. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for any international transfers of personal data.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. We will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, may notify you through the Service or by email.
